EUCLID -- A body of a newborn baby was found in the back yard of a Euclid home this weekend, reported NewsChannel5.Police say the mother of the baby is a 14-year-old girl, a ninth-grader at Euclid High School.The baby, a full-term girl, was found when the grandfather of the infant stumbled upon a mysterious plastic bag while doing yard work over the weekend.He discovered what was in the bag, and immediately contacted police.The teen girl told police she was afraid to tell her parents about the pregnancy, and she delivered the baby in her parents' bathroom six weeks ago. She also told police that the baby was stillborn.Police say the body of the infant is badly decomposed, and investigators are still trying to determine if the baby was dead or alive at birth.Preliminary tests found that the baby was not harmed in any way.The baby's mother has not been charged.NewsChannel5 and NewsNet5.com will have more details as they are learned.
