The family of a missing 14-year-old girl released new photos of her Thursday in hopes that someone might be able to recognize her, reported NewsChannel5.

The new photos show Gina DeJesus without makeup and with her hair pulled back, how she may have looked last Friday, when she disappeared on her way home from school.

DeJesus, a student at Wilbur Wright Middle School, was last seen near W. 105th Street and Lorain.

Authorities are also investigating a vehicle that was seen near the school when DeJesus disappeared.

Cmdr. Gary Gringell, of the 1st District police, said they are looking for a light-colored, older-model compact car with a plate number beginning with "SMS". He said the driver was a Hispanic man.

Friday police plan to expand the search by going door to door, asking if anyone has seen DeJesus.

DeJesus' family and friends will gather at the spot where she disappeared for a candlelight vigil on Friday at 6 p.m.

Volunteers are also being asked to congregate in the parking lot of the Zone Recreation Center, located at Lorain and W. 65th Street, on Saturday at 9 a.m. They will be asked to pass out fliers and canvass the neighborhood in pursuit of any information about the whereabouts.

Dejesus is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a powder blue coat, a white hooded top, black stretch pants and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with any information should call the Cleveland police at (216) 621-1234.

NewsChannel5 is also working with Crimestoppers on this case. If you know of any information that could lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible, call (216) 252-7563. A tip could be worth $2,000.
