3 Cleveland Police Officers Face Charges In Assault Case

1 Officer Charged With Perjury, Tampering With Evidence, Obstruction Of Justice

Four Cleveland Police officers are now the subjects in a criminal investigation in two separate incidents.

Andre Hayensworth is charged with perjury, tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice. He is accused of lying to a grand jury about a drug arrest. The suspect in the case was not charged.

Hayensworth surrendered to police and was released on $1,000 bond.

Three other officers, Kevin Fischbach, Brian Fisher and Robert Stitt, face charges in an assault case, NewsChannel5 reported.

The officers are accused of beating up a bartender at the Metropolitan Cafe in August.
