Hines Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Charges
Suspect Says He Had Nothing To Do With Shakira Johnson's Murder

CLEVELAND -- The man charged with killing 11-year-old Shakira Johnson pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder and kidnapping, reported NewsChannel5.
Daniel Hines, 25, appeared on camera Friday for his video arraignment.
Hines is scheduled to go on trial this Monday on an unrelated child sexual assault charge.
His layers are now attempting to have that case postponed while they deal with DNA evidence prosecutors believe links Hines to the disappearance and murder of Shakira in September.
"We haven't seen it, so we haven't had the time to analyze it and submit it to someone on our behalf to go through it if it's good, how it was obtained," said Paul Mancino, Hines' attorney.
Hines is in protective custody in jail. He has told his lawyers he had nothing to do with Shakira's disappearance and murder.
