Police Are Investigating

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police investigating a possible sighting of missing 11-year-old Shakira Johnson say that wasn't the little girl on a security camera at a local Laundromat.
A worker at the Laundromat contacted investigators after spotting what he said appeared to be the face of the missing girl he recognized from the news. The employee said he didn't want to alarm his customers so he waited, but the woman and the little girl soon left the Laundromat.
"I got the license plate number. As I was doing that, Shakira was looking back at me as if where's the help or something like that," Emanuel Johnson said. Police and family members are disappointed. Officers continue to search the neighborhood where Shakira disappeared. The 11-year-old is about 4 feet 7 inches tall and 70 pounds. She has light brown eyes, and her sandy brown hair was in a ponytail when she disappeared. Crime Stoppers is offering a $4,000 reward for information leading to where Shakira might be. Call (216) 252-7463 with information regarding the girl's disappearance.
