Resident Says Men Searching For Girl Barged Into Home

The search for a missing 11-year-old Cleveland girl has led to five arrests -- but none of them are kidnapping suspects.

NewsChannel5's Debora Lee reported that Shakira Johnson (pictured, left) was last seen Saturday at a block party in the neighborhood near East 106th Street and Benham.

Resident Nicholas Holmes saw groups continuing to search for the girl, but he never dreamed the search would end up at his door. He said several men barged into his house Tuesday, looking for information they thought could lead them to the girl. Holmes said the men searched his entire house, and he has no idea why anyone would think that Shakira would be in his home.

Police arrested five men in the break-in, including a Minister Richard Mohammed of the Nation of Islam, who had been part of the search all day.

It has been four days since Shakira's disappearance, and her mother, Alisa Randle, is visibly anxious and exhausted. She said that she just wants her daughter to be returned home safely.

The reward is now up to $4,000.

Shakira is described as about 4 feet 7 inches tall and about 80 pounds. She has light brown eyes, and her sandy brown hair was in a ponytail. On the day she disappeared, Shakira was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and light blue tennis shoes.

Police also have released a description of a vehicle that may be involved. The car is described as a four-door Ford Escort or Mercury Tracer. The car is described as clean and bright red in color. It apparently has an older-style license plate and was last seen in the area near East 61st and East 66th streets, between Broadway and Union.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Cleveland Police Department at (216) 621-1234 or (216) 623-5400.
