POSTED: 2:33 pm EDT June 11, 2003

According to NewsChannel5, an amusement park spokesperson said the Top Thrill Dragster was shut down last week due to a hydraulics problem.

The Top Thrill Dragster has been closed several times since its May 1 debut.

The 420-foot-high coaster is the tallest, fastest coaster in the world.

The coaster apparently has a problem with its hydraulic-launch system that launches riders at 120 mph.

Officials said they are not sure when the coaster will reopen.

If you would like to check on the status of the ride, visit www.cedarpoint.com.
