Norman Wallace's family credits its belief in God for helping it get through this tough time.

"I'll see you in heaven little brother," said Kevin Wallace, one of Wallace's 10 siblings.

The 30-year-old was gunned down Friday after a former graduate student reportedly entered the Peter B. Lewis Building and started shooting at random.

Wallace was celebrating on last Thursday that he had aced his finals, his family said.

Biswanath Halder, 62, faces charges in connection with the shootings and seven-hour standoff with police.

More than 90 people were trapped inside the building, hiding in offices, classrooms and closets.

Two people were wounded.

Family members describe Wallace as an excellent student who was good at mathematics. He had plans to help people as a financial planner.

Other students nicknamed him the professor. He was one of five full-time black students at the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School.

Wallace was to graduate next year.
