    • Man Accused Of Killing Officer Gets New Defense Team

    AKRON, Ohio -- The man who is accused of killing a Twinsburg police officer has a new defense team.

    The Akron-Beacon Journal reported that Ashford Lamar Thompson received another team of attorneys, his fifth since the case started.

    Thompson faces the death penalty for last year's shooting death of Officer Joshua Miktarian.

    A status hearing in the case has been scheduled for next month.
