A peregrine falcon that has been nesting at Cleveland's Terminal Tower for 12 years died last week at age 14.According to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, a woman found the falcon named Buckeye on the sidewalk at West 3rd Street and Huron. The bird was injured and barely responsive. The woman contacted the museum's wildlife resources director and then drove the bird to the museum, but Buckeye was dead by the time they arrived. The wildlife resources director said it appears his injuries were sustained from a collision with a window or building.People all over the Cleveland area have been watching Buckeye, his female companion, S/W, and their offspring for years. For more news on Buckeye and his family, go to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Web site.
