Semi Crash Causes Fiery Explosion On Turnpike
There was a fiery crash along the turnpike Thursday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.The crash happened between Route 60 and Baumhart Road in Erie County just before 5 a.m.One tractor-trailer was going about 20 mph, heading eastbound when another semi rear-ended it.The first semi hit the wall and spilled its load. The debris sparked fire and set off a chain of explosions.Investigators said no one was hurt.The turnpike was temporarily closed, but is back open now.
