School Worker, 27, Charged With Having Sex With Students

A former Waterford School District employee has been charged with having sex with students.

Amy R. Ellsworth, 27, pleaded not guilty Thursday during her arraignment in 51st District Court in Waterford.

Ellsworth, a former special education non-instructional aide at Mott High School, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of first -degree criminal sexual conduct.

Police said she had sexual relations with three students on and off the campus, located about 25 miles northwest of Detroit.

Ellsworth was released on a $25,000 bond. A pre-exam conference has been set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. Police did not know if she had an attorney.

If convicted, Ellsworth faces life up to in prison.
