3 Fugitives Wanted In Separate Murder Cases

Police need help finding three fugitives in connection with three murder cases in Akron.

Kevin Dunem, Elohim OMalley El-Jones and Andre Shawn Colvin are wanted on three separate homicides.

Dunem, 26, is wanted for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

Police said Dunem and his accomplice, Timothy Grant, tried to rob the owner of a convenient store located at 908 Raymond Street at closing time on Oct. 1.

The storeowner exchanged gunfire with Dunem and Grant.

The storeowner and Timothy Grant were transported to a local hospital where Grant died from his injuries. Dunem fled the scene and was later identified as an accomplice during the robbery.

Dunem is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. His last known address is 316 Snyder Avenue in Barberton, Ohio.

Fugitive 2

Elohim OMalley El-Jones is wanted for aggravated murder, felonious assault, participating in a criminal gang, forgery and obstructing official business.

Police said El-Jones, 24, was involved in an altercation outside an apartment building in the 1000 block of Ericsson Avenue on Aug. 15, 2009, where he fired shots striking a 45-year-old woman in the leg and killing Michael M. Kirksey, 31.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. His last addresses are listed in the 700 block of Fess Avenue and 800 block of Jason Avenue, both in Akron.

Fugitive 3

Andre Shawn Colvin is wanted for murder. Colvin is wanted for the fatal beating of Anthony Jackson on October 19, 2007. Jackson's body was found on the tree lawn in the 100 block of Bachtel Avenue.

Colvin, 36, is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. His last known address is 474 Dayton Street in Akron.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force for information directly related to their arrests.
