A Madison Township assisted living facility was evacuated by bus Monday afternoon because of an odor.

Lantern Assisted Living, located at 2041 Hubbard Road, evacuated about 40 residents.

It’s unclear what kind of odor caused the evacuation.

Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties are participating in the evacuation.

There may be a possible explosion hazard.
