A stray dog who survived breast cancer is now inspiring her human friends in their fight for finding a cure.Muffin, a small five-year-old dog, was found wandering the streets of Ashtabula last winter with a large tumor hanging from her belly.A Mentor-based puppy mill rescue called Marilyn's Voice took in Muffin and gave her medical care. It was discovered that her tumor was a cancerous mammary tumor. After recovering from surgery, Muffin was adopted by Joanne Junia of Willoughby, who first saw Muffin at an adoption event before her surgery.Junia's sister, Chris, is also a breast cancer survivor and bought Muffin a pink ribbon T-shirt, making her the mascot of her Breast Cancer 3-Day walk team, the Pinktinis.More Information:Marilyn's Voice
