LORAIN, Ohio -- It's a story of friendship and camaraderie: two dogs found on the side of the road, one refusing to leave the other's side. Now Lorain County animal rescuers are hoping to save their lives.A driver found the Rottweiler and the poodle late Monday night in the middle of Tacoma Avenue. The woman realized the Rottweiler couldn't move and the poodle wouldn't leave the injured dog. With the help of a neighbor, she brought the dogs to the Lorain County Animal Emergency Center, which is now hoping to find the pair a good home. The Rottweiler's leg has a very large tumor on it and will have to be amputated.Anyone interested in helping the two dogs can call the facility at 440-240-1400.
