An 11-year-old Ashtabula girl died early Monday morning after police said she was hit by a car in which her brother was sitting.

Police said Hannah Cleversy's brother was in the car listening to the radio, when the vehicle was knocked into gear. It apparently pinned the girl against the porch.

Cleversy was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. Monday at University Hospitals.

Officials said she was admitted on Saturday after being taken by helicopter from an Ashtabula hospital.

An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
