CLEVELAND -- A celebrity lineup of chefs spent time at the restaurant Lola this weekend, cooking up ways to end childhood hunger. The award-winning chefs made Cleveland their 10th stop on a 12-city tour for the organization "Share Our Strength." The culinary experts were in town as part of the group's dinner series called "A Tasteful Pursuit.""There are actually 12 million kids in the U.S. who go to bed hungry every night," said Joe Allegro with Share Our Strength. "We and the current administration have a plan in place to end it by 2015."Hometown celebrity chef Michael Symon is now known worldwide. He opened his heart and the doors of Lola to help others."I'm lucky to know chefs from around the country who feel the same way I do and are willing to share and take time out of their busy schedules to come to Cleveland," said Symon. "We have a good time doing something we feel very strongly about."Chef Bobby Flay was one of those chefs cooking up a delicious dinner."Michael Symon is one of my best friends. The money going to SOS we know will help the struggles of hunger in America," said Flay.Fantastic food made up the five-course meal that cost $300 a person. It's a price many are willing to pay to help make sure a child isn't hungry.
