A Columbus woman was arrested Tuesday night for alleged possession of more than $5,000 worth of stolen clothing, perfume and cigars, according to the Medina Highway Patrol.

Jillonda D. Maxwell, 24, was stopped by a trooper for failure to yield at a yield sign on state Route 18. A drug-detecting dog was alerted to Maxwell’s rental car. Police said they found numerous articles of clothing with tags still attached to them, 30 bottles of perfume and lotions and 32 packages of cigars.

Police said Maxwell did not have receipts for the items, and she said the items were stolen. Maxwell was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.
