2 Plead Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

CLEVELAND -- Two Cleveland men pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing child pornography, the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office said.Tony Saunders, 44, of Cleveland pleaded guilty to 28 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, which are second-degree felonies. Saunders also pleaded guilty to one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. Prosecutors said Saunders made child pornography available for sharing over the Internet between April 28, 2008, and May 3, 2008.Saunders’ computer was examined by Bay Village police, who discovered large amounts of child pornography, including movies. He was one of 41 defendants charged in Operation SafetyNet by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.In a separate case, Dominic Insana, 26, of Bedford pleaded guilty to one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a fourth-degree felony. Insana also pleaded guilty to one count of possessing criminal tools. In July 2008, prosecutors said Insana’s wife discovered internet search terms on the family’s home computer that indicated Insana had searched for child pornography. She turned the computer over to the Bedford Police Department, which gave it to the Ohio ICAC Task Force investigators.Saunders will be sentenced on Aug. 14 in front of Judge Stuart Friedman. Insana will be sentenced July 27 in front of Judge Lance Mason. Both men will be classified as Tier II Sexual Offenders.
