Police in San Antonio were looking into the case of a woman's body that was left in a shed behind a funeral home after the woman died in 2004.

Someone who lives nearby stumbled across the casket while looking through the shed behind the abandoned Forest Park funeral home, KENS-TV reported.

"The body was taken from funeral home to funeral home as they went to (different) locations," said Joe Rios of the San Antonio Police Department.

The landlord said W.B. Hardy, the business manager for the funeral home, has had trouble making rent and has been hard to contact.

Police said the elderly woman in the casket was dressed for a funeral. Hardy told KENS that he kept the body since 2004 because the woman's family could not pay for a funeral or cremation.

Rios said police were trying to determine if foul play was involved or if any crime was committed.
