2 Men Accused Of Using Bulldozer To Destroy Bike Trail

KENT, Ohio -- Kent police arrested two men Monday accused of vandalizing the new Portage Hike and Bike Trail with a stolen bulldozer.Officers arrested 20-year-old Briton Woolf and 23-year-old Bryan Gaugh at about 2:45 a.m.Police said they got a call for a noise complaint when the found the two men using the bulldozer to destroy the trail behind the Kent Water Reclamation Facility along the Cuyahoga River.They knocked over trees and damaged a covered bridge and surrounding grounds, leaving behind about $5,000 worth of damage, police said.The men were apprehended after a brief foot chase. There were no injuries. Both were charged with felony theft and vandalism. The Bike and Hike Trail was recently built and opened in June.
