CLEVELAND -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested Monday morning in connection with the kidnapping, robbery and rape of a woman in University CircleThe 22-year-old woman told police she was attacked in the 11500 block of East Boulevard, near the Cleveland Museum of Art, at about 11 a.m. Sunday.Police said she was forced into the bushes at knifepoint, where she was raped. The woman was transported to a local hospital.The teenager was arrested just after midnight in Rockefeller Park.Officers said they were conducting park enforcement when they encountered a suspicious vehicle in the park with the teen sleeping in the front seat.Upon initial investigation, officers discovered the teen was listed as missing. Further investigation revealed he matched the description of the suspect in the earlier rape.Officers said evidence was recovered from the scene.The teen was taken to juvenile detention center.The Cleveland Museum of Art released a statement regarding incident on Sunday:"We are shocked and saddened by the incident that occurred near the lagoon outside of the Cleveland Museum of Art on, Sunday, June 21, 2009, and our thoughts are first and foremost with the victim. Members of our staff are working closely with the various authorities investigating the incident, and further details can only be relayed by representatives of those responding police units."
