AVON, Ohio -- A 29-year-old Medina man was arrested Thursday, accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex.

Investigators said an Avon police officer was posing as the teen online when Vincent Montemarano began conversing with her.

He was arrested when he came to try to meet her.

Montemarano was charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, importuning and possessing criminal tools.

He is being held in the Lorain County Jail.
