WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio -- A horse adopted from Another Chance Equine Rescue, Inc. has been rescued again, by the same company.CiCi, a 16-year-old Arabian horse, was adopted in September by Gayle Weber. Weber runs her own rescue organization, All Creations Sanctuary, in Creston. Images: CiCi The Horse Representatives from Another Chance did a site check on CiCi in October, and found everything in order. When representatives returned a few days ago, they removed the horse and put it back in their care.John Carney with Another Chance said the horse was found in deplorable conditions. CiCi is blind in one eye, dehydrated and 200 pounds underweight.Brenda Lewis, president of Another Chance, said Weber also improperly cared for another horse. Weber claimed she did not have time to call the vet and when she did, the horse was dead. Lewis believed the dead horse was still in its stall. Another Chance was not allowed access to the barn.Carney said the economy and the cost of caring for a horse may be the reason for the neglect.CiCi remains in guarded condition under 24-hour medical care and her prognosis is hopeful, according to Veterinarian John Bryk.Attempts to reach Weber were unsuccessful.
