Police: Wedding Crasher Stole From Newlyweds

POSTED: 11:20 am EDT March 17, 2009

A woman was charged with posing as a friend of a local bride and groom and then pocketing donations at their wedding reception.

Deborah Brothers-Schuler' rap sheet is staring to get lengthy, NewsChannel5 sister station WCPO-TV reported. Just last week, she was charged with impersonating a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy and passing bad checks at bingo halls.

Brothers-Schuler, 53, allegedly crashed the Valentine's Day wedding reception of a couple she didn't even know.

Police allege she solicited money for the couple at a Cheviot Knights of Columbus Hall, then pocketed the donations and left the reception.

The newlyweds were identified in court paperwork as Danny and Misty Moore.

On Monday, police also charged Brothers-Schuler with passing two more bad checks worth $180.
