A new advertising campaign aimed at promoting Burger King’s latest sandwich, the Angry Whopper, offers to give you a free burger if you get rid of 10 Facebook friends.

To sign up, users download the Whopper Sacrifice Facebook application and purge 10 friends.

Users are then prompted to enter an e-mail address where the coupon for the free food is sent.

But beware. Normally, Facebook doesn’t alert friends if eliminated. However, this application will notify all "dumped" friends that a user has chosen a piece of beef over them.

According to the "Whopper Sacrifice" Web site, more than 190,000 friends have been sacrificed.
