Police: Man Robbed On RTA After Suffering Seizure

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland police are asking for help tracking down a person who robbed a man who had a seizure on at an RTA bus stop, and the entire crime was caught on security tape.Police said the 49-year-old victim had the seizure and fell into a coma from a medical condition. He was riding the Healthline bus at East 79th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland just after 5 p.m. on Nov. 13.Police said that while the man was unconscious, another man in a ball cap and coat walks by, turns around and then sits by the victim and mugs him.The suspect took the victim's gold watch, his Alltell cell phone and cash from his pocket and his wallet.During the crime, the suspect glances toward the RTA camera. The camera is new and hasn't been focused yet, but police said if someone knows the suspect, they should be able to identify him.RTA has invested in a state of the art security system and it's expected to pay off.Another passenger called 911 and the victim is doing better now.Anyone who can help solve this crime should call Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463. Tipsters can remain anonymous and can earn up to a $2,000 reward.
