8 People Indicted In Mortgage Fraud Scheme

Eight people and six companies are facing charges in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme involving more than $3 million in fraudulent loans on seven local homes.

Prosecutors said the scheme involved tricking people into buying homes, lying about buyers' information to get loans, creating fraudulent invoices and more.

Cities in which the homes were located include Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Lyndhurst and Pepper Pike.
