STOW, Ohio -- Police in Stow are looking for a man who robbed a cash advance business at gunpoint Friday morning.

Police said the man entered National Cash Advance on Kent Road around 9:15 a.m.

After a brief discussion with a clerk, the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register, telling the clerk not to push the panic button, but didn't threaten to shoot her, police said.

The clerk gave him money, and then the robber made her open the safe. According to police, the man took money from the safe and told the clerk to stay in the restroom while he fled.

The robber is described as a black man in his early 20s with short hair and a thin beard. He was wearing jeans and a gray jacket with dark diamonds on the back.

The weapon is described as a silver/black semiautomatic handgun.
