No Immediate Charges Filed Against Teen Who Fired Gun In School

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio -- A prosecutor said he is waiting on reports from the Willoughby Police Department before deciding whether a 15 year old should face charges for firing a gun at Willoughby South High School.Police said the sophomore put a .40-caliber handgun to his head after firing once into a trophy case and once into the ceiling. No one was injured.Police also said they found at least 33 more rounds in the gun and in a duffel bag.The prosecutor said if the teen is charged, he will likely face discharging of a firearm in a school building.With that charge, he could face anything from probation to several years in a juvenile facility.Charges are not expected today, but could come on Thursday.The teen was taken to Windsor-Laurelwood Center in Willoughby for evaluation.
