Highway Patrol Seizes $210,000 Worth Of Cocaine, Heroin

The Ohio State Highway Patrol seized a kilo of cocaine and a quarter-pound of heroin during a traffic stop Thursday along Interstate 71 in Richland County.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at $210,000.

Linda Fonseca, 33, and passenger Jose Vega, 41, both of Tonawanda, N.Y., were charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine, and trafficking in heroin and cocaine.

The vehicle was initially stopped for a defect violation.

They will be arraigned Friday in Mansfield Municipal Court on felony charges associated with the case. They face up to 41 years in prison if convicted.
