A 40-year-old Cleveland man died Sunday while participating in a bicycle race in Beachwood.

According to the Cuyahoga County coroner's office, Kevin Karn was riding in the race when he lost control of the bike and collapsed.

He was taken to South Pointe Hospital, where he later died.

The coroner has not yet made a ruling on cause of death, but said there was no foul play or trauma involved.
