104 Marijuana Plants Discovered In City-Owned Field

Plants Spotted By Highway Patrol Chopper Pilot

More than 100 marijuana plants were discovered Friday growing in a field on city of Akron property.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted the plants while doing helicopter patrol off of Route 422 in Geauga County.

Geuaga County sheriff's deputies confiscated 104 plants ranging from 3 to 5 feet in height.

The plants were discovered a half-mile off of Rapids Road on property that is part of the Akron reservoir watershed.

The investigation continues and no arrests have been made.
