JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Hundreds of people feared losing their jobs earlier this year when Transworld Entertainment announced it was shutting down operations in Jackson Township, but now a new company has bought the building and is not only saving jobs it is creating hundreds more.In 2001, Arthur Middleton Capital Holdings employed four people. Now the company has more than 800 employees.Some of those employees used to work for Transworld.The Transworld workers thought they were losing their jobs, but some were hired to stay on with Arthur Middleton.Fred Miller, director of warehouse operations, even has the same office.Arthur Middleton is many companies in one, including the fields of medical care, collector coins and fireplaces.The millions earned goes right back into the company and that has created growth.A promise of hundreds of jobs years ago will increase by another 200 to fill the 400,000-square-foot facility.About a quarter of the people who were in danger of losing their jobs in January are now employed by Arthur Middleton.To apply for work at Arthur Middleton, contact their human resources department at 330-966-9000.
