Calling Hours Today For Slain Police Officer
Community Encouraged To Line Funeral Procession

TWINSBURG, Ohio -- Funeral home calling hours are Thursday afternoon and evening for the Twinsburg police officer killed in the line of duty last weekend. The procession and funeral for 33-year-old Joshua Miktarian is scheduled for Friday. Authorities said Miktarian was shot in the head several times during a traffic stop early Sunday. Suspect Ashford Thompson is charged with aggravated murder and is being held on $5 million bond. Miktarian's wife, Holly, has released a statement thanking people in the community for their "generous support." Calling hours will be at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Avenue in Tallmadge from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. on Friday. It will continue northbound on state Route 91 to northbound Ravenna Road in Twinsburg, and then to Broadway Avenue in Oakwood Village to Mount Zion Church.After the service, the funeral procession will depart Mt Zion for Crown Hill Cemetery on Darrow Road.The community is encouraged to line the outside of the procession route in support of Miktarian.
