They were both 41 years old.Officials said the bodies were found in a small bathroom in the basement of the home. The coroner said a lethal level of carbon monoxide was found in both bodies, in excess of 70 percent. The coroner said bottles of beer and liquor also were found on the bathroom floor, along with prescription pills. There were two small charcoal grills in the space. A note apologizing was also found.Investigators said the couple, who were childless, may have died a few days ago. They were last seen outside their home on July 1.Police said that they had never been to the home before. The coroner said no signs of trauma were found on the bodies. While investigators are treating the case as a double suicide, a ruling is still several weeks away.
