CLEVELAND -- Frustration could soon turn into freedom for Cleveland drivers and businesses. The city is coming up with some extra money to get the Euclid corridor project done a little early.Crews are ready to repave the stretch of Euclid Avenue between Playhouse Square and Public Square once the city is done installing underground ducts, wires and putting up street lights. To speed that up, the city has received grants that will enable the city to pay for overtime work and hire extra crews to get the work done faster. The end result will be the completion of the stretch of the project sometime in July, instead of August. The construction project has hit many businesses hard, forcing some to close. The city said this is their way of hopefully easing some of that pain.
