Akron store clerks robbed at gunpoint fought back twice in two days.

The first robbery happened at about midnight Tuesday at the Dairy Mart on West Market Street. Police said the suspects entered the store, wearing masks and armed with guns, and demanded money.

One of the employees ran out the rear door and called the police, while another employee hid under the counter and activated the alarm. The employee then came out from behind the counter and fired a shot at the suspects.

The suspects fled the store without getting anything. They are still on the loose.

Police describe the robbers as black. One is 6 feet tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a mask and was armed with a handgun. The second man was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black mask, and black pants. He was armed with a shotgun.

On Wednesday night, an employee at the Delia Market shot at three teens who tried to rob the store, hitting one in the leg.

The employees said that the teens entered the store armed with handguns and demanded money.

"Well, we've been reporting what seems like quite a bit lately in the news and some of our stores have been hit more than once and I think some of these store owners are getting tired of it and decided to take the law into their own hands. We do not encourage that but some have taken it upon themselves to take their own action," Akron police said.

Police have two suspects in custody in the Delia Market attempted robbery.

The suspect shot in the leg was 17-years old. The other suspect is 18-year old William Oldham. He was charged with aggravated robbery and booked into the Summit County Jail.

Detectives are looking for the third person of interest.
