GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Garfield Heights police said a woman turned herself in Thursday afternoon after an Amber Alert was issued.Police issued the Amber Alert at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after they said 25-year-old Ashia Worthy, a shoplifting suspect, took off with a 7-month-old girl.Police said Worthy, along with three other women, tried to steal baby clothes from Kmart Wednesday night.Police said officers arrested the three women, but Worthy took off in a getaway car with the baby in the back seat.She later dropped the child off at a friend's house, police said. That person called police. The baby was safe.Police said Worthy turned herself in on the theft warrant and other misdemeanor warrants. A possible kidnapping charge could also be filed.
