BLOG: Victim's Father Says Hough Was 'Hot-Head'
NewsChannel5 reporter Bob Jones is covering the trial of Cleveland firefighter Terrance Hough who is accused of shooting three people on Sky Lane Drive on July 4, 2007. Read his blog here: 4:23 p.m.Testimony has ended for the day. The defense attorney said he may call three or four witnesses on Tuesday. There is no word yet on whether Terrance Hough will take the stand.Closing arguments are likely as well.2:26 p.m.Detective Sampson is back on the stand.He testified 11 guns were found inside Terrance Hough's home. Two of the guns were loaded.Detective Sampson is also showing the fireworks that were set off by Jacob Feitchner and his friend Donny Walsh.The detective says he would not consider any of the fireworks to be "high-powered."12:20 p.m.Detective Sampon is describing where all of the shell casings were found at the crime scene.He also identified the 40-calibar semi-automatic handgun that Hough used to shoot the victims.Sampson also testified that several loaded guns were found inside the Hough home.11:45 a.m.During a break, the prosecutor told me he will call two or three more witnesses today and he will rest his case this afternoon.The defense attorney said he will call three or four witnesses. There is no word yet on whether Terrance Hough will take the stand.Closing arguments could happen tomorrow.11:25 a.m.Roland said when he got home that night, he found his other son, John, wandering around and crying.Roland said he put his arms around John.Roland said he couldn't get close to Jacob's body because there were 40 police officers on the scene.Roland's wife was murdered in 1991 and he served in Vietnam, where he says he witnessed men get injured or killed.Roland testified, "All of that paled in comparison to the aggravated circumstances surrounding my son's death."When the defense attorney began his cross-examination, the attorney said, "Mr. Roland, I am truly sorry for your loss."At that point, Roland yelled out, "I don't want your sorrow or sympathy. Just ask me what you got to ask me."11:13 a.m.Roland was at work on July 4th when he got a phone call and was told that Jacob was shot.Roland testified that if he had known Hough had guns, he would have never gone to work that night.When the prosecution asked what Roland meant by that, Roland said, "I had a fear of this guy because he was such a hot head."11:04 a.m.Roland Feicthner testified that Terrance Hough has been his neighbor for five years.When the prosecutor asked Roland if he can see Terrance in the courtroom today.Feichtner said, "No, I can't look at him. How many deputies are in here?"Roland said Hough was a hot-headed and aggressive individual.Roland said he tried to respect Hough because he's a firefighter and has kids.
