2 Fallen Officers Honored At Cleveland Memorial

CLEVELAND -- On Friday, hundreds of people recognized the service and sacrifice of local police officers killed in the line of duty.The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society added two names to the Fallen Officers Memorial at Lakeside Avenue and West Third Street.That includes Cleveland Heights Patrolman Jason West and Euclid Patrolman George Brentar."We're grateful that now at least their memory will not be forgotten; their sacrifice will be forever remembered on this memorial," said Charles W. Lane Jr., of the Peace Officers Memorial Society.The families of West and Brentar will be in Washington, D.C., next week when Cleveland hosts its annual Police Memorial March.At that time, the officers will be honored again, along with fallen Cleveland Officer Derek Owens.
