BLOG: Victim's Brother Says He Charged After Accused Gunman
NewsChannel5 reporter Bob Jones is covering the trial of Cleveland firefighter Terrance Hough who is accused of shooting three people on Sky Lane Drive on July 4, 2007. Read his blog here:2:50 p.m.John Feichtner, the brother of Jacob Feichtner, is testifying. He said after the shootings happened, he knew Terrance Hough was responsible.John said he charged after Hough and knocked him off Hough's front porch.John said Hough went inside his house and John threw a large rock through his kitchen window.John said he wanted Hough to come outside because he wanted retribution for the shootings.John testified he didn't know how to handle the trauma that was happening in the front yard. He said he screamed, cried and vomited.John also said several years ago a basketball bounced into Hough's yard. John testified Hough sent the ball back to the Feichtner house a couple days later with a knife stuck into the ball.2:18 p.m.A neighbor from Sky Lane Drive, Doris Rosario, took the witness stand around 2 p.m. She saw Jacob Feichtner cleaning up the sidewalk after the fireworks were set off.Doris went inside her home, took a shower and shortly after she got out, she heard, "Bam, bam." She thought it was fireworks.But then, she heard a female voice screaming for help. She looked out her window and she saw bodies on the front lawn of Jacob's house.Doris stayed outside for a couple of hours after the shootings to comfort Jacob's girlfriend, Valerie Skora.12:23 p.m.A crime scene detective, Charles Teel, testified and just got off the stand.He testified about the shell casings found at the scene.He said the casings came from a 40-calibar weapon.Prosecutors say Hough shot the victims with a semi-automatic 40-calibar Beretta handgun.Court is in recess until 1:45 p.m.11:10 a.m.A witness is testifying right now. Her name is Valerie Skora. She was Jacob Feichtner's girlfriend.She's friends with murder victim, Jacob Feichtner, and shooting victim Donny Walsh. She's also friends with murder victims, Bruce Anderson and Catherine Rosby.She testified she was sitting on a blanket, watching fireworks being set off in the street by Jacob and Donny.The fireworks show lasted about 15 minutes.Valerie says Jacob and Donny then started to clean up the fireworks.Valerie says she never heard or saw the defendant during this time.She went inside the Feichtner house to heat up a hamburger. While inside, she heard 5 or 6 "pops" and thought it was fireworks.But, the two shooting survivors came running into the house and said they were shot by the firefighter.Valerie says she ran outside and saw the three murder victims lying on the ground.Valerie is a nurse and she felt no pulse on Catherine Rosby.She went over to Jacob Feichtner and told him "She loved him" and "Don't leave me"She ripped open his shirt and performed 3 or 4 rounds of CPR, but she stopped when police arrived.
