Police: Man Shot While Trying To Rob Motorist At Car Wash

A man trying to rob a local car wash was shot on Wednesday.

Cleveland police said two men tried to rob a man who was in line for the car wash at about 4:45 p.m. at East 71 Street and Hecker Avenue.

Officers said the owner grabbed his gun and got into a shootout with one of the would-be robbers.

One of the men was hit. He was arrested. Police are still looking for the other man.

Investigators recovered two guns from the scene.
