A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who stole 29 handguns from a gun shop last month.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the firearms were taken from the Willard Fish N Game on Woodland Avenue sometime late March 20 or early March 21.

ATF and the Willard Police Department need additional information from the public that may assist them in solving the case.

"We know that stolen firearms move quickly into the hands of criminals and that stolen firearms are used to perpetrate additional crimes. Law enforcement is asking for the public's assistance in removing these threats from the community," said Kyle Walton, resident agent in charge, ATF Toledo Field Office.

Anyone with information is asked to call the ATF crime gun hot line at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) or the Willard Police Department 419-933-2571.

Callers may remain anonymous.
