Mom Catches Ostrich Attack Of Son On Tape

An Ashtabula family appeared on Sunday night's "America's Funniest Videos," after submitting the video of their son getting bit by an ostrich on a summer vacation.

The Partridge family today still gets a kick out of their wild animal adventure.

While on their way to the outer banks in North Carolina, someone at the campground they were staying at suggested a detour.

Christie Partridge said someone suggested that they go to the drive-through safari in the morning because the animals are "nice and hungry."

"I ran out of food, and it kept pecking at the bucket still," said Aaron Partridge. "And it went over to my hand and it bit me in the hand. And after that it ran over to the truck and pecked the truck."

Christie Partridge, Aaron's mom, caught the whole attack on tape but she knew her son was OK.

"I was afraid more than it hurt," he said. "I was crying a lot and screaming because I thought it would have, like, took my finger off or something."

She thought she'd share this memorable moment.

"We try to watch funniest home videos every Sunday as a family and I saw that -- and you know -- this was pretty cool so."

The Partridge family's video, which was shown on the ABC broadcast, was not chosen to be a finalist for the grand prize money.
