MINERAL CITY, Ohio -- Flooding in Tuscarawas County is causing some major problems for residents and for one local dairy farmer, its costing him his livelihood.Dave Stotzer owns a dairy farm in Mineral City and owns about 50 cows. Those cows are milked twice a day and trucks normally come to the farm to pick up the milk. But Stotzer's farm is surrounded by miles of flooded roadways, making it impossible for the milk trucks to make the pick up, and forcing Stotzer to dump gallons of milk.Stotzer said he began dumping on Sunday and so far has dumped 4,700 pounds of milk.He said the cows must be milked twice a day or they will get sick, so he can't wait for the water to recede. The good news for Stotzer and other Tuscarawas County residents: Officials say the water is dropping a foot every 24 hours and roads will hopefully be passable again soon.
