Bus Driver, 9 Kids Injured In School Bus Crash

TIFFIN, Ohio -- A sport-utility vehicle hit a patch of ice Thursday morning and collided with a county-owned bus, injuring nine children and two adults, authorities said. It was not clear how badly some people were hurt, said Linda Good, executive director of Seneca County Area Transportation. Two children on the 12-passenger bus and its driver were admitted to a Tiffin hospital. Four others were taken to a Toledo hospital. The driver of the SUV slid left of center and hit the bus, said State Highway Patrol trooper Jim Van Camp.The crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. on state Route 18, about 1 mile east of Tiffin.
