UPDATED: 7:04 pm EDT March 13, 2008

The workers at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center are taking care of some bats after they were awakened from hibernation during remodeling at a house.

Rehabbers at the Bay Village center will keep the bats in a refrigerator until it is warm enough for them to return to their natural habitats outdoors.

The five bats will be taken out of the refrigerator every three weeks to be fed.

The bats include two silver-haired bats and three big brown bats.
