CLEVELAND -- Politicians are used to being questioned, and even heckled at times. But some are wondering whether a rally attendee went too far. Robert Holeman, a Canton native, heckled former President Bill Clinton during a rally over the weekend. Holeman repeatedly shouted out the name Obama during the speech and when Clinton paused. After the rally, Holeman told news agencies that Clinton was irate and even tapped him in the face with his finger. The Clinton camp said that is not true. They said the only physical contact Holeman had with Clinton was when Holeman made a bee line to the ropes to shake Clinton's hand. NewsChannel5 asked whether they believed does heckling has a place in the political arena."I think a lot of it has to do with the way society is today," said Mike Sedlak. "It's the YouTube mentality -- make your self standout for whatever reason instead of just listening to what they have to say." Some think heckling is immature. "I think even though you may not agree with what he has to say you should still hear it. Then you can formulate your own opinion,"said Kate McCormick. Frank Gump said, "I actually think it's kind of funny. As long as it's all in good taste I think it's fine." Bill Speigner said, "If you want to go for Obama, you should go to an Obama rally -- plain and simple as that."An Obama spokeperson said Holeman was not a plant by the Obama campaign.
